TIME-BASED ARTWORK

I propose to make an artwork using my own body. I will spend a period of time in the gallery space, in public spaces, institutional environs and at home not doing performative acts. Every act I undertake and every word I say will be for real.

During this period of time I will interact with those I encounter as people and not as audience.
Nothing I do will be emblematic.

The time-based artwork will commence at a secret time, and people can’t ask me if I am doing the artwork when they see me because that would ruin it.

So that I cannot be tricked into doing something performative I might be forced to spend my time inside a cardboard box at a secret location for the duration of the work.
